Digital Desk, Gurugram. The Gurugram Health Department has confirmed 5 new dengue patients in the district, which include two men and three women, including a 6-year-old child. With the arrival of new cases, the total number of dengue patients in Gurugram has increased to 217. The health department has identified 156 suspected dengue patients in the last 24 hours.
3621 suspected dengue patients have been identified in the district. Officials said that rapid fever survey is being conducted regularly in the district by the health department. Till Monday, 10,000 houses have been covered under this survey. The Health Department team has so far surveyed more than five lakh houses. However, the district health department has not confirmed any death due to dengue this year, while the department has confirmed only two cases of malaria this season.
A senior health official said, a joint team of the health department and the Municipal Corporation of Gurugram (MCG) is visiting people’s homes and checking for mosquito larvae. The team visited around 15,305 houses on Monday. Dengue mosquito larvae were found in 159 houses during this period. Warning notices were issued to 41 persons after the larvae were found. So far, the department has issued more than 13,000 notices for the detection of larvae this season.
