Officials gave this information on Tuesday. “The President will attend the birth centenary celebrations of Chaudhary Harmohan Singh Yadav and address the gathering on Wednesday,” a release issued by Rashtrapati Bhavan said. After this, on Thursday, the next day, President Kovind will attend the centenary celebrations of Harcourt Butler Technical University and will address the gathering.
Chaudhary Harmohan Singh Yadav alias Chaudhary Sahab was an educationist, social worker, independence activist and a politician of the Samajwadi Party. It has also been learned that the President will address a function to be held in Mehraban Singh’s Purva area on Wednesday. Harcourt Butler Technical University (formerly Harcourt Butler Technological Institute, Kanpur) was established in 1921 by the then government of the United Provinces to promote technical education, applied research and industrial development of the region. It is also known as HBTI.
